Two and One

A practice to help you live a grateful life in a fckd up world.

This is a practice my family started doing on Thanksgiving about 15 years ago: naming two gratitudes and one ungratitude. The whole purpose is to leave you present to gratitude and what you're grateful for, without pretending you're grateful for everything.

This is a form of that practice that you can carry with you daily – each week will move you through the 5 A’s from How to Live a Grateful Life in a Fckd Up World – Awareness, Allowance, Acceptance, Appreciation, Attitude Toward Gratitude – giving you an opportunity to slow down and expand your capacity to find the good without denying the bad.

Each day you're invited to name two things you are grateful for, and one thing you're not.

The invitation is to hold both: what you are grateful for and what you are not, at the same time.

As you return here your place will be automatically saved at the next step (this is not dependent on the calendar, so if you miss a day, it doesn't skip you ahead). Move at your own pace.

Nothing you write leaves this device, and nothing is shared with anyone. To quote my main man, Robert Hunter, this path is for your steps alone.
